Meet and Greet Coach Case

Come welcome newly name boys basketball coach, Travis Case, on Monday, at noon for a special meet and greet.  The reception will last approximately one hour to give our parents and students the opportunity to meet Coach Case and his family.  

Poetry Book On Sale

In memory of Jane Sykes Swain, West Memphis Christian High School has compiled a book of poems.  The book is titled The Roundtable 2012-2013.  It is on sale now through the following link:

The proceeds from the sell of the book go to the Jane Swain Servant Scholarship Fund. This is a $500 scholarship awarded to a senior student who demonstrates servant qualities to others through volunteering/working  in church/community.

Reminders

Tuesday Night: Awards Banquet, 6:00 pm, Rash Hall

Wednesday: All sports uniforms should be turned in clean. This includes basketball practice jerseys, track jerseys, tennis tops NOT MONOGRAMMED for girls, baseball shirts and pants.  STUDENTS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE FINAL EXAMS UNTIL TURNED IN.

Thursday Night: Sports Banquet, dinner at 5:00 pm, program at 6:00 pm, Rash Hall

Baseball All Star/All Conference Announced

Congratulations to Tucker Thompson for being named a 2013 MAIS baseball all-star!  Tucker will report to Jackson on May 22 and take the field at 5:00 PM on Friday, May 24 at Smith-Wills Stadium representing the Class A North squad.

Six WMCS baseball players have earned All-Conference honors for their play in District 1A this season.  All-Conference players are seniors Tucker Thompson, Mike Anderson, John Francis and Zane DeVazier.  Honorable Mention All-Conference selections include seniors JW Seale and Zach Nicholson.

Uniform Turn In Clarifications

All school issued school uniforms and equipment must be turned in by Wednesday, May 15th.  Uniform turn in DOES include practice jerseys.

Tuesday, May 14

• High School Awards Ceremony in Rash Hall, Missouri Street Church of Christ, at 6:00 pm.  Students receiving awards will be notified prior to the ceremony.  Everyone is invited to attend.

Wednesday, May 15

• SENIOR CHAPEL in all purpose room at 12:40 pm.  Parents, family and friends are invited to attend.  

Thursday, May 16 

• High School Sports Banquet in Rash Hall, Missouri Street Church of Christ…Dinner will be served from 5:00 – 6:00 pm.  Program will start at 6:00 pm.  All athletes playing on a high school team, any sport, is invited to attend.  An RSVP will be requested by email soon.

Friday, May 17

• Retirement Party for Glenda Runions in Rash Hall at 4:00 pm.  Donations are being accepted at both campuses for a “money tree”.  Small gifts are also welcome!  Everyone is invited to attend!
